Brian Epstein has been fishing the Upper Keys since 1976. He grew up on this water as the son of Bob Epstein, the Miami Herald's fishing editor, which meant a childhood spent around the best captains, the best docks, and the best stories in South Florida fishing. Most guides learned these waters from a chart. Brian learned them from the men the charts were named after.
Today he runs a 2021 Sea Hunt 25 bay boat, the Swiss Army knife of the Upper Keys: shallow enough for the backcountry, seaworthy enough for the reef, comfortable enough for a family sandbar day.
